How fast can this car go?
The Nissan Leaf can reach a top speed of 90 mph.
How far can I drive in a single full charge?
Up to 109 miles.
How much will it cost to run one of these cars?
Approximate cost will be 1.2 - 1.4 pence per mile, equivalent petrol and diesel cars can cost 10 times that. The Nissan Leaf is also exempt from vehicle excise duty (VED), company car tax and London Congestion Charge.
How would I charge my Nissan LEAF?
It is recommended to use a home charge unit (HCU), however whilst on the road, there are a growing number of accessible publical charge points across the UK. In addition, you can also visit selected West Way dealerships for a 30 minute rapid charge. The rapid charge facility is available at the following West Way dealerships: Stockport, Birmingham, Stourbridge, Oxford, Aldershot and Southampton. Charge points will be available at all of our 12 dealerships by the end of 2012.
How long does it take to charge?
You can charge your car at home overnight with a full charge taking around 8 hours. For a quick 30 minute charge at one of our West Way rapid charge points you will get an 80% charge.
What are the environmental benefits of driving an electric vehicle?
Electric vehicles emit zero tailpipe emissions, making them the most environmentally friendly vehicles on the road.
Are there any financial incentives on offer?
The Nissan Leaf is currently eligible for a government grant of £5,000.
