Field Based Sales Executive - Mill Hill

We are looking for experienced field based Nissan Business Sales Executives for our Mill Hill (West London) Business Centre.


Their role will be to sell to B2B customers, car and LCV products in their allocated territories.

They will report to the Regional Business Manager, and would be expected to sell circa 15+ x units per calendar month, this will ensure they achieve minimum payplan/commission (uncapped).

Successful candidates are expected to spend 3 days field based and 2 days in the showroom each week, but we would be flexible on this dependant on performance and customer demands.

The following package will apply;


Base salary negotiable subject to proven experience.

With minimum commission/payplan expect an OTE of circa £45,000.00 per annum.

Company vehicle (LCV or car).

Company lap top and mobile phone.

Group Trainer

The Key responsibilities are:

  • Work with the Group Training Manager, Group HR Manager, Operations Board, and West Way Management to formulate training programmes and workshops for managers and employees across our businesses
  • Develop and deliver sales and service process training.
  • Deliver performance and motivational training to instil a culture of exceptional performance.
  • Develop and deliver training to ensure the Group and its employees are compliant with FCA
  • Develop and deliver inspirational monthly induction courses by region
  • Provide team and 1:1 Coaching of the highest quality
  • Design and deliver inspirational, industry leading internal training courses and any associated programmes/events, as identified by the business
  • Train, coach and facilitate managers and employees to develop consistency and competence across key roles.
  • Plan, communicate and review training programmes on a regular and timely basis.
  • Champion the highest standards of performance and customer service
  • Develop apprenticeship programmes and coach mentors and apprentices.
  • Identify high quality and cost effective third party training providers where appropriate.
  • Work closely with Nissan Academy to ensure the Group and its employees achieve accreditation.
  • Work closely with RCI, Kerridge and Contact Advantage to improve standards
  • Provide coaching to management to enable effective reviews and appraisals to be carried out.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent presentation and training course delivery skills
  • 1 to 1 coaching skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
  • Interesting and engaging to colleagues
  • Good sense of humour
  • Outgoing personality
  • Flexible, with the ability to work at all locations in the Group
  • Car Dealership management experience
  • Experience of selling and delivering the highest levels of customer service
  • Experience of managing people

Whilst previous experience as a trainer is ideal, West Way will consider other applicants who can fulfil the above criteria. The position is field based and a substantial amount of business travel is likely.

Previous retail motor industry experience is essential.

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide the key interface between all departments and our customers with the primary focus to ensure our customers receive a VIP experience at all times. The role will focus on the welcoming and assisting all customers, ensuring they are comfortable and are provided with a drink and answer incoming calls to direct them to the right department. Responsibilities also include the presentation of our showrooms, identifying and aiding to resolve customer issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • To greet all customers that enter the showroom and ensure that they are welcomed and make the experience memorable and special.
  • To support all departments in customer handling.
  • To ensure all waiting customers are comfortable and have refreshments.
  • To ensure the showroom is maintained to the highest standards.
  • To prepare a list daily for the next day's appointments.
  • Use customer data system to capture initial enquiries and aid where possible in the initial influx of service customers in the morning.
  • To answer any calls not answered by the relevant department and ensure the customers is handled appropriately or their data is captured.
  • To ensure complete customer satisfaction through clear communication, working as a team and considering the customer first in all that we do.
  • Adhering to all dealership procedures at all times.
  • To ensure at key times the showroom is staffed at all times.
