Exterior Design

An overall look at the Nissan Qashqai gives you the impression of a larger more imposing car on the road. It looks to have a muscular stance while sat on the 20inch alloy wheels (depending on grade). The front grille shows off Nissan’s V-Motion grille styling that we see on the new Nissan Juke and New Nissan ARIYA. Angular C-shaped LED headlights are moulded on either side of the V-shaped grille. The LED headlights with daytime running lights draw your eye down to the angular vented cut-outs seated in either corner of the bumper.

As your eye progresses around to the rear of the car and you’ll notice the C-shaped angular rear lights. The LED lights flank the rear quarter panels and spill over onto the rear boot lid. A Nissan badge is mounted dead in the centre of the boot lid letting everyone behind you know what car you are driving. The boot floor is set at a comfortable height for loading and unloading items from the rear. Nissan really has thought of everything.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Family life was obviously at the forefront of Nissan’s mind when revamping the interior cabin of the new SUV. Shoulder and knee room in the rear has increased substantially, meaning no more squabbles when your younger passengers are on long journeys. And even though the Nissan Qashqai is the perfect everyday family car, Nissan says there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy a premium experience with ambient lighting, tactile high-quality materials and massaging seats available on selected grades.

The Nissan Qashqai also boasts a whopping 504-litre boot capacity, plenty of room for the big shop. Underfloor parcel shelf and wipe clean surfaces, while outside the powered tailgate has the ability to open the boot by waving your foot under the bumper. The Nissan Qashqai thrives on dealing with life’s ordinary problems and offers extraordinary solutions.

NISSAN QASHQAI WITH MILD HYBRID TECHNOLOGY 

The first is a flexible and efficient 1.3-litre petrol engine with self-charging, mild hybrid technology enabling the Qashqai to offer improved CO2 emissions and fuel economy.

Mild hybrid technology shows enhanced fuel efficiency compared to a traditional petrol engine, specifically in urban driving scenarios and emits less CO2 emissions whilst driving [1]. The mild hybrid system features a lithium battery that stores energy recovered during braking. The recovered energy supports the vehicles electrical systems allowing the start/stop system to activate in more situations to enhance fuel efficiency.

The Nissan Qashqai is also available with e-POWER technology that delivers a more responsive, quieter  and efficient way to experience city driving. 

A technology unique to Nissan. The Nissan Qashqai with e-POWER uses a petrol engine to charge a battery and that alone drives an electric motor, powering the wheels. It responds similarly to an electric car, providing instant torque and also has lower tailpipe emissions and running costs compared to a traditional combustion engine, but without the need to plug it in.

The ProPILOT system has been upgraded for the All-New Qashqai, offering even more driver support. The new ProPILOT with Navi-link systems are incredibly intuitive and have been designed to reduce tiredness and stress while driving, they can accelerate and brake the vehicle within a single-lane on the motorway. Additionally, it can accelerate the vehicle to cruise at a set speed, and then decelerate to 0mph in heavy stop-start traffic. And resume automatically if the vehicle has been stationary for less than three seconds and the traffic in front moves away.

The steering system and camera are constantly updating the vehicle’s position, helping the car to stay centred within the lane while maintaining a pre-determined speed. These systems will give you complete peace of mind on the road.

The technology within the cabin will impress drivers and passengers alike, with a new 9” high-resolution touchscreen as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to keep you connected.
