If you can't afford the right vehicle for your needs the mobility charity may be able to provide financial help.
How the scheme works
Do I own the car when the lease ends?
No, as you're using the Motability scheme the vehicle remains the property of the Motability operations. At the end of your lease you have 3 options:

Lease another new car using your Motability scheme

Extend your lease keeping your current car longer than 3 years

Return your car, your allowance will be reinstated to you

How do I find the best car for me?
Your Motability Expert will help you find the best car for your needs and requirements after carrying out a Suitability Assessment.
What's a suitability assessment?
This is an assessment carried out by the Motability Expert, they will assess your needs and make suitable recommendations.
How do I find out more about WAV?
Wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) are available on the Motability scheme. These are vehicles suitable for a person in a wheelchair to travel in a vehicle while remaining within the wheelchair.
Will the vehicle be big enough?
The Suitability Assessment and your Motability Expert will be able to make recommendations on which size vehicle is best for your requirements.
Can I change my mind after making a car application?
Talk to your Motability Expert to talk to through your options.
Getting your vehicle
What do I need to take to the dealer to place an order?
You will need the following:
What do I need to take when collecting my car?
You will need your PIN, driving licenses of all drivers plus proof of identity such as a passport.
What is a PIN?
This is a Personal Identification Number you will need to enter when picking up your vehicle. This confirms you accept the terms and conditions. Your PIN will be sent to you before you need to collect your car.
Can someone else take delivery of my car on my behalf?
No, you must be present to take delivery.
