The quirky Nissan Qashqai has become very popular at West Way, so here are some interesting facts and figures on our one of our favourite crossovers:

  • The name Qashqai originates from a tribe living in the Zagros Mountains in South Western Iran.
  • It is possible to drive the Qashqai from Land's End to John O’Groats, which is a vast 839 miles, on one tank of fuel. It has been tried and tested in a 1.5dCi Nissan Qashqai.
  • There are 7863 different Qashqai variants available before you even choose the colour. This means your Nissan Qashqai is unique to you and your needs!
  • A massive 53% of the 3779 parts that make a Qashqai are produced in the UK. Another 30% come from Europe.
  • Every minute the production line is functioning, a Nissan Qashqai is created.
  • It takes nearly 8 hours to produce just one Qashqai and 390 machines to weld 4608 pieces together.
  • 31 panels make up the impressive Nissan Qashqai.
  • To celebrate 1 million mark for Qashqai we have worked out that the following had to be produced to get there:
