What a year! A look back at 2014… With so much planned for 2015, we didn't want to overlook our amazing accomplishments in 2014! Here’s a quick look back at a great year: We started the year with 12 dealerships, and ending it with 15! West Way acquired its first ever London dealerships in November:
Hanwell and
Mill Hill, marking a milestone for us. Better still, our Mill Hill dealership was awarded ‘High Performance Centre’ status, stocking our impressive GTR and 370Z. Not long after, 14 became 15 with West Way Altrincham – servicing the Greater Manchester area. This new site not only offers Nissan Servicing on vehicles, it is also an approved Renault Service Centre. But, let’s talk about the important stuff… cars! This year saw the release of our revamped Crossover range including the
Juke,
Qashqai and
X-Trail. Our next generation Qashqai was launched with a suave Casino evening at each of our dealerships in January; our most popular model gave drivers a more premium feel inside and out with added innovative technology including the 360 Around View Monitor and Parking Assist. It’s no surprise then that our Nissan Qashqai won ‘What Car?’ Car of the Year award and sold its first two million models quicker than any other car in history!

In July, we said goodbye to the Qashqai +2 and welcomed the all new Nissan X-Trail in its place, with an optional seven seats. The revamped model transformed the 4x4 market with a futuristic look combined with increased driving capabilities. It has proven itself to be practical, sensible and extremely capable on the road. The new JUKE came with a bag full of upgrades including the much needed 40% increase in boot space and the option to personalise your model with interior and exterior add-ons. As well as this, Nissan made a bold return to the hatchback in October with the all new
PULSAR. A modernised hatchback that heavily rivals the Ford Focus, with spacious interior and added safety technology, this crossover brings Nissan back to the forefront of the most competitive car market of all. Of course, we wouldn't end the year without mentioning the incredible year our electric vehicles have had! The
Nissan LEAF is the world’s best-selling electric vehicle car. Because of this, we gave our customers the chance to see how it feels to go electric introducing the new LEAF as our Customer Courtesy Car model and have received great reviews from drivers all across the country. The LEAF hit record sales this year, and recently reached its 1 billionth mile travelled! Another 100% electric vehicle has been making waves this year at West Way, a first for Nissan in commercial electric vehicles; the
e-NV200. A spacious van with plenty oftalk, this great vehicle proved popular with local groups in their ‘green’ adventures – Greater Manchester Fire and Police service took a batch of the LEAF and the e-NV200 for their services, lowering costs and emissions in their community.
West Way is extremely proud to have won not one, but two worldwide awards this year. Our dealerships in Aldershot and Wolverhampton picked up the carmaker’s top retail honour award with Aldershot winning for the second time consecutively. For two out of only seven European dealerships worldwide to be awarded with the Nissan Global Award, it really is an astonishing achievement for us!
